How to Create a Quiz — Part 2: Building Your Size Chart

In Part 1, you created a new quiz by choosing a body type, selecting measurements, and picking a quiz type. Now you’re inside the Quiz Editor — this is where you’ll name your quiz, review your measurements, and fill in your size chart data.

Step 1: Name Your Quiz

At the top of the Quiz Editor, you’ll see two fields:

  • Name — Give your quiz a descriptive name (e.g., “Women Dress S.S. 2026”). This name is only visible to you and your staff, not to shoppers.

  • Status — New quizzes start as Draft (visible only to staff). You’ll change this to Active when you’re ready to go live.

Step 2: Review Your Measurements

Below the name, you’ll see the Measurements section. It shows which body measurements are included in your quiz (the ones you selected during setup).

If you need to add or remove measurements later, click the Edit button on the right side of this section.

Step 3: Fill In Your Size Table

The Size table is the heart of your quiz. This is where you enter the body measurement ranges for each size you sell (XS, S, M, L, XL, etc.).

There are two ways to fill in the size table:

  • Option A: AI Extraction — Upload an image of your existing size chart and let SmartSize’s AI read and fill in the data automatically.

  • Option B: Manual Entry — Type the values directly into the table.

You can also click the expand icon in the top-right corner to work in full-screen mode, which is helpful for larger size charts.

Option A: Upload a Size Chart Image (AI Extraction)

If you already have a size chart — whether it’s a spreadsheet screenshot, a table from your supplier, or an image from your website — you can upload it and let SmartSize extract the data automatically.

A1. Upload Your Size Chart Image

Click the Add files button in the “Upload an image of your size table” area.

Select the image file from your computer. The image should clearly show a table with size labels and measurement values.

Here’s an example of a screenshot from a size chart:

Choose your file and click Open to upload it.

A2. Configure and Start Extraction

After uploading, you’ll see a preview of your image. Below it, you’ll find a “My image contains:” dropdown. Select the type of data in your image:

  • Body measurements — The chart shows body circumference/length values (most common)

  • Product measurements — The chart shows garment flat measurements

  • Mix of body and product — The chart contains both types

Select the appropriate option, then click Start Extraction.

A3. Review the AI Extraction Results

The AI will read your image and extract the data. This usually takes 30–60 seconds — you’ll hear a sound when it’s ready.

Once complete, the AI Assistant will show a summary of what it found. The size table below will be automatically populated with the extracted values.

You can also use the text input to ask the AI to adjust the data — for example, “Convert all values to inches” or “Remove the XXL row.”

⚠️ Important: Always review the extracted data carefully before saving. The AI does a great job, but it’s good practice to double-check the numbers.

Step 4: Choose Your Measurement Unit

Below the size table, you’ll find the Measurement unit section. Choose the unit that matches the values in your table:

  • Metric (cm) — Centimeters (most common worldwide)

  • Imperial (in) — Inches

Make sure this matches the unit system used in your size chart data.

What’s Next?

Your quiz now has a name, measurements, and a complete size chart. In Part 3, you’ll learn how to configure the advanced settings and link the quiz to your products.

Don’t forget to click Save in the top-right corner to save your progress!
