Create your first size chart

Pick a template, adjust the measurements, link it to a product, and turn on the theme extension — your first size chart live in about five minutes.

Let's get your first size chart live on your store. You'll pick a template, adjust the measurements, link it to a product, and turn it on — about five minutes, start to finish.

Step 1: Start a new size chart

From the SmartSize Home screen, click Create your first size chart. You can also go to Size charts and click New size chart.

Step 2: Choose who it's for

Select the audience for your chart. This decides which measurements and default sizes your template starts with.

Step 3: Pick a garment type

Garment types come pre-filled with a realistic size table and how-to-measure instructions — pick the closest match and adjust it later. Blank starts empty.

Step 4: Pick a visual style

Choose how the chart should look. You can change this at any time, so don't overthink it.

Step 5: Name your size chart

The name is only visible to you. A consistent pattern like WOMEN | DRESS | SS 2027 keeps charts easy to find as your list grows. Click Create.

Step 6: Meet the editor

Your chart opens ready-made: a Size Guide tab with the size table, a How to Measure tab with instructions, and a cm/in switcher for shoppers. Everything in the left panel is a block you can edit, move, or remove.

Step 7: Enter your measurements

Click the table to open Table settings. Edit the values directly in the grid, add rows and columns, or click Generate from image to let AI fill in the table from a photo or screenshot of an existing chart.

Step 8: Link it to products

Switch to the linking tab (the chain icon on the left). Your chart needs at least one product, collection, type, vendor, or tag before it can go live.

Click Products and select where the chart should appear.

The matching products list confirms your rule works. You can also limit the chart to specific Markets — leave it empty to show the chart everywhere.

Step 9: Set it to Active

Switch the status from Draft to Active in the top right, then click Save.

Step 10: Turn on the theme extension

The first time you activate a chart, SmartSize asks for one last step: click Turn on extension so the size chart can appear in your theme.

Side note: you can also add the extension manually from the Home page:

Your theme editor opens with the Size chart app embed turned on. This is also where you customize the button — text, style, colors, and corner radius. Click Save in the theme editor.

Step 11: See it on your storefront

Back in SmartSize, your chart now shows as Active.

On the Products page, click Preview next to a linked product to jump straight to it.

The SIZE GUIDE link appears next to the size selector…

…and clicking it opens your size chart, exactly as you built it.

Your chart now appears on every product it's linked to. When you're ready, restyle the popup, translate it, or fine-tune button placement in Settings — no need to touch the chart itself.

💡 Tip: Using the Blum theme? SmartSize works on Blum with no extra setup. Turn on the app embed and the size button appears on your product pages. Blum is a popular choice for fashion stores. It is built for selling with images: lookbooks, outfits, and product photography.
