How measurements appear

In a size chart, measurements are columns in the table block. You enter the garment or body measurement for each size row. Shoppers read the table and compare their own measurements to find the right size.

In a fit quiz, measurements are columns in the quiz size table and questions in the quiz flow. Shoppers enter their body measurements, and SmartSize compares them to the table ranges to generate a recommendation.

Units

SmartSize supports metric and imperial units.

The default unit is set in Global settings > Measurement units. You can choose Store locale, Metric, or Imperial. SmartSize does not convert between units inside a size table — enter values in the unit your chart uses. See Change the default measurement unit.

Notes and limits

  • The exact measurements available to a fit quiz depend on the quiz type and audience. A Prediction quiz always collects height and weight. A Precision quiz lets you choose the exact measurements from the catalog above.

  • Pet measurements appear only when the quiz audience is set to Dog or Cat.

  • Baby and kids measurements appear only for the relevant audience and product family.

  • Weight and age are used by the recommendation algorithm but are not typically shown as columns in a size chart table.

  • SmartSize rounds displayed values to one decimal place.
