You set the status dropdown to Active, but it snaps back to Draft with a red message. This is by design: a size chart can only go live once it knows where to appear, so SmartSize blocks activation until the chart is linked to at least one product. The fix takes under a minute.
Why the chart stays on Draft
When you try to activate an unlinked chart, the editor shows: "To activate this size chart, link it to at least one product, collection, tag, type, or vendor." A red dot also appears on the link tab in the left sidebar, pointing you to the fix.
Link the chart to at least one product
Click the link icon in the left sidebar to open Product display rules, then choose how to link the chart: Products, Collections, Types, Vendors, or Tags.
For a single chart, Products is the quickest: tick the products that should show this chart and click Select.
Set the status to Active
The rules panel now lists what you linked, and a matching products table confirms the chart has somewhere to appear. Open the status dropdown again and choose Active — it sticks this time. Finish with Save.
💡 Tip: linked but still blocked? Check the matching products list at the bottom of the rules panel. If it says "No products match this combination", your rules are too narrow — remove or loosen a rule until at least one product matches, then set the chart to Active.
