Why shoppers see a 5-second countdown in your fit quiz once your monthly recommendation limit is reached — and where to track your usage and warning emails.


Seeing a 5-second countdown in your fit quiz? Nothing is broken — your quiz is still working. The countdown appears because your store has reached its monthly recommendation limit.


Why the countdown appears

Every SmartSize plan includes a monthly number unique customers that can take the quiz. Once your store reaches 100% of that limit, new shoppers see a short 5-second waiting timer before their size recommendation appears. Recommendations keep working — shoppers just wait a few seconds longer.

Your usage resets on the first day of every month, and the countdown disappears automatically. Upgrading to a plan with a higher limit removes it right away.


We email you before it happens

You won't be caught off guard — we send several warning emails as your usage grows:

  • At 80% of your limit — you receive emails letting you know you're getting close, so you have time to upgrade before the countdown starts.

  • At 100% of your limit — you receive emails confirming the limit is reached and that new shoppers now see the countdown.


Check your usage on the SmartSize homepage

You can see exactly where you stand at any time. Open the SmartSize homepage and look at the Plan & usage section. It shows:

  • How many recommendations your store has used this month, and your plan's limit

  • The date your usage resets

  • The email address where the warning emails will be sent


💡 Tip: Want to remove the countdown right away? Upgrade your plan from the Plans page in SmartSize — the timer disappears as soon as your new limit is active.
