No products match my display rules

How to fix a "0 matching products" counter in your display rules; switch from "match all" to "match any", simplify your filters, and check your products' tags, types, and vendors.

When you link a size chart or fit quiz to products, the matching products counter shows how many products your display rules currently reach. If it shows 0 together with the warning No products match this combination, one of the checks below usually solves it.

Check your match condition first

The most common cause is the Condition setting under Advanced rules. With Product matches all of the above, a product must satisfy every filter at the same time — in the selected collection and carrying the tag and from that vendor. The more filters you add, the fewer products qualify, and it's easy to end up with none.

Switch to Product matches any of the above and a product only needs to satisfy one of your filters. The counter updates right away — in this example the same filters go from 0 to 2 matching products.

Use fewer, simpler filters

For most stores, one filter is enough — a single collection or a single tag. Remove filters that don't change which products you want, and add more only when you really need to narrow things down. Watch out for combinations that can never match: selecting several specific products while the condition is set to "match all" matches nothing, because a single product can't be two different products at the same time.

Check your products' tags, types, and vendors

Filters match the exact values saved on your Shopify products. A misspelled tag, an outdated product type, or a vendor name that's written differently on the product will match nothing. Open a product you expect to match in your Shopify admin and compare its tags, type, and vendor with the values in your filters.

💡 Tip: The counter and the product list underneath update as you edit your rules — use them to confirm the right products match before you save.
