SmartSize Analytics shows you who your shoppers are, what sizes they get, and how well the fit quiz works on your store. Open it from your Shopify admin under Apps → SmartSize → Analytics.
What you'll see
The page is a grid of cards, grouped by topic. Use the topic chips under the date picker to focus on one group, or Edit layout to pin, hide, and reorder cards — your layout is saved per store.
Shopper behavior — the fit quiz funnel: how many shoppers saw the quiz button, opened the quiz, completed it, and how many unique shoppers were sized. Returning shoppers who get their size instantly are counted separately.
Shopper profile — gender, age, height, weight, body shape, and the answers to the fit-profile questions (for example women's upper/lower volume or men's shoulders & chest).
Size outcomes — the sizes shoppers were recommended, one card per size system in your quizzes.
Recommendation health — confidence, measurement source, how often a shopper falls outside your size chart, and reliability.
Store readiness — how many of your products are covered by a size chart or a fit quiz. This reflects your store right now, not the selected dates.
Top performers — the products and quizzes with the most activity.
Monthly usage — your fit quiz recommendations against your plan's monthly limit (see How is fit quiz usage calculated?).
Pick any date range with the date picker and compare it with the previous period or previous year. Numbers update about once an hour.
Why are some cards greyed out?
Greyed cards marked Example show sample numbers so you can see what the card will look like once your own data arrives. Hover over a greyed card and click Why is this greyed out? to see the reason — it will be one of the three below.
1. Your plan doesn't include the fit quiz yet
Fit quiz analytics — shopper insights, size outcomes, recommendation health, and the quiz funnel — are part of the Pro plans. On the Free and Starter plans these cards show example data. Size chart analytics and store readiness are available on every plan.
Click Upgrade in the message, or go to Apps → SmartSize → Plans. Your cards fill in with real numbers from the first shopper who uses the quiz after you upgrade.
2. Your fit quiz isn't live on your store yet
Analytics start the moment shoppers can use your fit quiz. Two things make it live, and the message shows which one is still to do:
Activate a fit quiz — under Apps → SmartSize → Fit quizzes, set a quiz to Active.
Turn on the fit quiz app embed in your theme — in your theme editor, under App embeds, switch on SmartSize fit quiz. The Open theme editor button takes you straight there.
3. Your fit quiz is live, but no shopper has used it yet
Nothing to set up — numbers appear within about an hour of the first shopper completing the quiz. Some cards fill in right away; breakdowns like age and body shape need a few shoppers first (see below). It typically takes a week or two of store traffic before the picture is meaningful.
Each of these messages appears once. Close it and the cards stay greyed until your data arrives; the Why is this greyed out? pill brings the message back any time.
Cards that are still filling in
Once your quiz is live you may see a few cards with a short note instead of a chart. That's normal — they tell you exactly what's happening:
"4 of 10 quiz completions" — the shopper-profile and size cards wait for 10 completed quizzes in the selected dates before drawing a breakdown, so one or two shoppers can't skew the picture. The progress bar fills as shoppers come in. The funnel, top performers, and recommendation-health cards show numbers from the very first shopper.
"No … for these dates — tracking is on" — your store simply had no fit quiz activity in the selected range. Try a wider range; the note shows the date of your last shopper activity.
"Counted from …" — a newer metric started being tracked part-way through your range, so its total covers only part of the period.
"Checking your catalog" — store readiness is counting your products; it refreshes on its own within a minute.
If you pick dates from before your store started collecting, Analytics automatically moves the range to start on your first recorded day and tells you so under the cards.
💡 Tip: the fastest way to fill your Analytics is to make the fit quiz easy to find — the Find my size button appears automatically on product pages that have an active quiz. The more shoppers complete it, the richer your shopper profile becomes.
